Getting started
Do I need coding or design skills?
No. Pagebuilder is built for business owners who want a professional website without learning WordPress, hosting, or web design. Everything is point-and-click.
How long does it actually take to launch?
Most businesses go from sign-up to a live site in under 60 seconds for the first draft, and under 5 minutes once they've reviewed the imported content and picked a template.
What do I need before I sign up?
Just a verified Google Business Profile. We pull your business name, hours, photos, reviews, and category from there. If you don't have one yet, you can create it free at business.google.com.
Can I try Pagebuilder before paying?
Yes. The Free plan lets you generate and preview your website without entering a credit card. You only pay when you're ready to publish to your own domain or unlock paid features.
Will it work if my business is brand new with few reviews?
Yes. The AI can build a complete site from just your business name, category, and a few photos. Reviews enrich the site if you have them, but they're not required.
What kinds of businesses is this best for?
Local service businesses: plumbers, electricians, dentists, lawyers, salons, restaurants, contractors, real estate agents, fitness studios, photographers, and 15+ other categories.
Google Business Profile
What is a Google Business Profile and why do I need one?
It's the free Google listing that shows your business on Google Search and Maps. It's the foundation of local SEO and we use it to build your website automatically.
How do I create a Google Business Profile if I don't have one?
Go to business.google.com, search for your business or add it, then verify ownership (Google sends a postcard, phone call, or email depending on your category). It's free and takes 5–10 minutes plus verification time.
What data does Pagebuilder pull from my Google profile?
Business name, category, address, phone, hours, services, website URL, photos, reviews, and your business description. We never pull anything beyond what's already public on your profile.
What if I update my Google profile later?
Click the Re-sync button in your dashboard and the website pulls the latest hours, photos, and details. You can also enable auto-sync (Pro plan) so updates happen daily.
Do you work with businesses that have multiple locations?
Yes. You can create one site per location, each with its own subdomain or custom domain. Multi-location pricing is per-site.
What if my Google profile doesn't have great photos?
You can choose 'Premium stock' or 'Mixed mode' during onboarding — we'll add high-quality, category-relevant photos from a curated library automatically. You can also upload your own.
Templates and design
How many templates are available?
20+ templates, designed specifically for local service businesses. We auto-pick the best fit based on your category, but you can switch anytime.
Can I change templates after I've published?
Yes. Switching templates preserves all your content — only the layout and styling change. You can do this as many times as you want.
Can I customize colors and fonts?
Yes. Pick from 12 brand color palettes or set a custom accent color. Pro users get full font customization too.
Can I add my own logo?
Yes. Upload your logo on any plan and it replaces the text header. You can also choose to hide your business name when your logo includes it.
Are the designs really mobile-friendly?
Every template is designed mobile-first. 70%+ of your visitors will come from phones, so we prioritize that experience.
Can I see a preview before paying?
Yes. The Free plan generates a full website preview at a Pagebuilder subdomain. You only pay when you want to publish to your own domain or unlock advanced features.
Editing and content
Can I edit the AI-generated text?
Yes. Every headline, paragraph, service description, and FAQ is editable in the dashboard. Click any section to rewrite, or regenerate the whole site if you want a different angle.
How many times can I regenerate content?
Free plans get 10 regenerations total. Starter and Pro plans get 5 regenerations per website per month — usually more than enough since most users regenerate 2–3 times.
Can I add my own custom sections?
You can add custom HTML and embed code on the Pro plan (e.g., a calculator, a quiz, a video). Free and Starter plans use the built-in section types only.
Can I add a blog?
Not yet — it's on the roadmap for 2026. For now, link to a Medium / Substack / WordPress blog from your nav.
Can I upload my own photos?
Yes. Upload from your computer or pick from your Google profile photos. Starter allows 5 photos, Pro allows 20+.
Can I add testimonials beyond what's on Google?
Yes. You can manually add testimonials in any plan. Pro plans also pull all reviews from Google Reviews automatically.
Domain and hosting
Can I use my own domain like joesplumbing.com?
Yes. Custom domains are included on Starter and Pro plans. Free plan websites use a free .pagebuilder.space subdomain.
Where do I buy a domain?
Anywhere — Namecheap, GoDaddy, Google Domains, Cloudflare, or any registrar. Buy the domain first, then connect it via DNS in your Pagebuilder dashboard.
How do I connect my domain?
Add the domain in your dashboard, copy the DNS records we show you, paste them at your domain registrar, and we'll verify within 1–10 minutes. Step-by-step guides included.
Is hosting included in the price?
Yes. Every plan includes fast global hosting via Vercel's edge network. No separate hosting bill, no setup, no DevOps.
Is SSL (HTTPS) included?
Yes, on every plan including Free. SSL certificates are issued and renewed automatically — your site loads with the secure padlock from day one.
How fast does the site load?
Sub-second on desktop and 1–2 seconds on 4G mobile, typically. Lighthouse Performance scores are 90+ on most templates because we optimize images, defer non-critical JS, and serve from edge locations.
Can I move my site to another host later?
Your content stays yours. You can export your site data (text, photos) at any time. Custom code/template can't be exported as static HTML, but cancellations always give you 30 days to extract what you need.
SEO and search engines
Will Google index my Pagebuilder site?
Yes, on all paid plans. Free plan sites are intentionally noindex (so test sites don't pollute search). Pro plans get full SEO including meta tags, structured data, sitemap, and Google Search Console integration.
What SEO features are built in?
Semantic HTML structure, business schema markup (LocalBusiness), OpenGraph and Twitter cards, automatic XML sitemap, robots.txt, canonical URLs, optimized image alt text, and fast loading by default.
How quickly will my site rank on Google?
New websites typically take 4–12 weeks to start ranking for branded searches. Local SEO (showing up in 'plumber near me') depends mostly on your Google Business Profile, which we already help optimize.
Can I add a sitemap?
Sitemap.xml is auto-generated for every paid plan. We update it whenever you publish content. You can submit it to Google Search Console.
Can I add Google Analytics or Tag Manager?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Paste your GA4 measurement ID or GTM container ID in your dashboard and we inject the tracking code into every page.
What about local SEO?
Local SEO is mostly about your Google Business Profile (which we help you optimize), consistent NAP info, and local reviews. Our sites add the on-site signals: schema, local business markup, fast loading, and mobile-friendliness.
Pricing and billing
How does pricing work?
Three tiers: Free (preview, no publishing), Starter ($9/mo or ₹599/mo for one published site), Pro ($19/mo or ₹1,499/mo for advanced features). Billed monthly or yearly — yearly saves ~17%.
Why are USD and INR prices different?
Local pricing for local purchasing power. We don't believe in flat global pricing that prices out one market while subsidizing another. Pricing auto-detects based on your country.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
Internationally: all major Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. In India: cards, UPI, Netbanking, and wallets. All processed through Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant).
Do you charge per website or per account?
Per website. Each site you publish has its own subscription. You can create unlimited drafts on one account, but each published site needs its own plan.
Do you offer discounts?
Yearly billing saves 17% automatically. We don't run flash sales — the prices you see are the prices everyone pays. For agencies managing 5+ client sites, contact us for volume pricing.
Will my price ever go up?
We grandfather existing customers. If you sign up today and we raise prices next year, your existing subscription stays at the price you signed up at — for as long as you keep it active.
Refunds and cancellation
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard in one click. You keep access through the end of your current billing period — no proration penalty.
What's your refund policy?
We refund payments within 14 days for technical failures, billing errors, or service issues caused by our platform. We don't offer change-of-mind refunds, but you can always cancel future renewals.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
Your site stays live until the end of your paid period. After that, it reverts to a Free plan — the site remains accessible at a Pagebuilder subdomain, but custom domain and paid features turn off. Your content is preserved for 90 days in case you want to resubscribe.
Can I pause my subscription?
Not yet — it's on the roadmap. For now, you can cancel and resubscribe later; your content is preserved for 90 days after cancellation.
Security and privacy
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored in encrypted Postgres databases (Supabase, hosted in AWS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Payment data never touches our servers — Razorpay handles it directly.
Where is my data hosted?
Database in AWS us-east-1 (Supabase). Website edge cache distributed globally via Vercel. For EU customers, we can route to EU data centers — contact us if that's required for GDPR.
Do you comply with GDPR?
Yes. We process minimal personal data (email, name, business details), don't sell data to third parties, and respond to data deletion requests within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Will you share my business info with anyone?
Never. Your business profile data is yours. We use it only to build your website and improve our AI models for YOUR account. We don't train models on your private data or share it with advertisers.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes all your sites, content, and personal data within 30 days. Some financial records are kept for tax/legal reasons (7 years in India per GST law).
Features and integrations
Is there a contact form?
Yes, on Pro plans. Form submissions arrive at your business email. Spam filtered automatically.
Can I add a WhatsApp button?
Yes, on Starter and Pro plans. A floating WhatsApp button appears on every page, pre-filled with your business name when customers click.
Can I add a booking / appointment link?
Yes. Paste any external booking link (Calendly, Setmore, Square Appointments, Fresha) and we'll add a 'Book now' button in your hero section. Starter and Pro.
Do you have analytics built in?
Pro plans get a basic analytics dashboard (visitors, top pages, traffic sources). For deeper analytics, connect Google Analytics 4 or any tracking script.
Can I add custom code or scripts?
Pro plans support custom script injection (analytics, chat widgets, Facebook Pixel, hotjar). We sanitize and sandbox to prevent malicious code.
Is there an API?
Not publicly yet. We expose internal APIs for the dashboard; a public read API is on the 2026 roadmap. If you need to integrate now, contact us — we may be able to help.
Support and account
How do I contact support?
Email support@pagebuilder.space. We respond within 1 business day on Free/Starter plans, within 4 hours on Pro plans (M–F, 9 AM–7 PM IST).
Do you offer live chat?
Not yet — email keeps support quality higher because we can investigate properly. Live chat is planned for 2026.
Are there help docs or video tutorials?
Yes, in the Success Center linked from the footer. Step-by-step articles for every feature, plus 5-minute setup videos.
Can I have multiple users on one account?
Currently one user per account. Team accounts (with role-based access) are coming Q2 2026.
Can I transfer my site to another account?
Yes — email support and we'll transfer ownership within 24 hours. We just need confirmation from both account holders.
